They say looking for a job is a full time job.  Well, looking for investment capital is a full time investment.

Today, Blogio is successfully transmits news releases to bloggers around the world.  To bring our service to tens of thousands of bloggers & marketers, we are seeking investors to help us improve our service and spread the word to people who have yet to discover us.  The challenge is, how do you make money when you are looking for money?   The two-word answer should surprise nobody: HARD WORK.  We believe passionately about what we’re trying to accomplish at Blogio.   We may not be changing the world,  but a little improvement is a lot better than nothing.

 

I am in the unique position of being an old media guy who makes his living in new media.  However, I do NOT believe that old media is not an anachronistic idea who’s day is done.   Why?  Because it’s not about the media –it’s about the content.  Good content is good content, whether it’s conveyed on a PDA or in an old fashioned book.

One of the things old media guys like to say is that “the internet has ruined everything”.  That’s because marketing used to be so much simpler.  You had four or five choices:  TV, radio, newspaper, magazine, maybe some direct mail or a promotion now & then.   Now you have about 100 million websites, give or take a few hundred thousand.

The internet is about making connections and conversations.  That’s why, at its heart, internet marketing is good old fashioned public relations.  PR is the essence of Blogio.  It’s communicating with, and through, the journalists of our time bloggers.

And why does the world need Blogio?  Because the world is certifiably full of bloggers and there are 2 things that bloggers really appreciate – good content and a decent income.  Blogio can deliver both.

Marketers have needs too.  Number one for marketers is to get their message to people they figure might be interested in their products or services.  The best way to do this is to connect marketers to the people who reach niche audiences in a compelling way – you guessed it – bloggers.

So yes,  Blogio is a pipeline between marketers and bloggers.  But it is so much more than that.  We passionately believe in the importance and the integrity of the blogging movement.  So much so that we’re trying, with our service, to advance the cause of bloggers throughout the land.
